We have more silks workshops for y’all from Jordann Baker! If you took her workshops at the beginning of June, these will still have some new material for you.
Jordann began her aerialist career in New York City in 2006, and has been flying high ever since! She has performed both internationally and around the United States in theatrical productions, arts festivals, fashion shows, circuses, music events, and even the occasional wedding.
She is passionate about creating dynamic, site-specific performances and genre-bending shows, including Shapeshifter Circus. Jordann is dually based in Austin, TX and Los Angeles, where she runs The Concord, an aerial training and performance space.
Jordann enjoys working with students of all levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned professionals and has 15 years of experience in the air. She specializes in silks, rope and hammock and also dynamic momentum techniques.
Each workshop will be taught on silks, but will have skills that can transfer to other apparatuses, such as rope or hammock. Each workshop is 90 minutes long, costs $75 to attend, and need a minimum of four signups to make. Workshops will not include a full warm-up, so attendees are encouraged to arrive up to 30 minutes early to take themselves through a more thorough activation sequence.
All workshops are intermediate/advanced level and will require hand grip confidence and the ability to invert in the air repeatedly.
